The Camden Centre for Independent Living (CIL) is an organisation run by disabled people for disabled people working to promote the principles of independent living (that is asserting control about the decisions over their lives, empowering themselves, taking more responsibility about what is important to them and having choice and control over their lives).
Camden Disability Action (CDA) leads on the CIL service commissioned by Camden Council. The service is based at the Greenwood Centre and will be a one-stop shop for advice, information and support for D/deaf and disabled people, including those whose first language is not English, who use British Sign Language or have a learning disability.
Camden Disability Action wants disabled people to decide how the Greenwood Centre for Independent Living works for all Disabled people.
In this context, the first meeting will be held on Thursday, 29 July.
Time: 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm.
