Could you tell us a bit about yourself and why you’re interested in health care?
I’m a Pharmacist and have a Master’s Degree in public health with strong clinical experience. I have also worked in various healthcare systems around the world.
I’ve had a professional career and have also volunteered. However, over the last four years I’ve been the primary carer for my twin daughters who have a genetic condition.

Joyce Amoateng, one of our volunteers went on a PLACE visit at the St Pancras Hospital – South wing.
Issues looked at were the general cleanliness and condition, appearance, food, signage, dementia assessment and disability assessment.
Our volunteers go to PLACE visits at local hospitals every year to provide the patient perspective on whether the healthcare environment provides privacy and dignity. Staff at the hospitals are positive and welcoming.
