This years’ Volunteer Week is on 1-7 June. We want to thank all the fantastic volunteers who’ve helped us at community events and our stalls around Camden.
Volunteers are our lifeblood. This year our volunteers helped us to man stalls at University College London some were students studying health. Volunteers assisted with PLACE visits which we’ve finished for this year, and provided valuable support when we visited hospitals and residential care homes to see if services met patients’ and their families’ needs. Without our volunteers, it would be difficult to attend so many events.
We welcome new volunteers throughout the year. Depending on what activities we have lined up there’s an opportunity to suit everyone.
For example, over the summer we’ll be at Primrose Hill and South End Green Festivals in June and the Camden Mela in July. If you want to come along to lend a hand contact us.
You’ll get a chance to meet people and give them a voice in the provision of health and social care services in Camden. You’ll also get valuable work experience in events and communication skills.
