Camden New Town Community Festival

Peter, our volunteer co-ordinator attended the Camden New Town Community Festival in Camden Square Garden, on 19 July 2015. The festival runs every year and is a celebration of history, music, dance and our multicultural community.

Healthwatch Camden believes that a co-ordinated and unified voice is a stronger voice for children, young people and adults who use and need to use Camden’s health and social care services. We want to know what members from our diverse community think about Camden’s health and social care services.

To this end Peter handed out leaflets, our annual report and information cards on what Healthwatch Camden’s role is in the community. He also encouraged people to engage with us by indicating on a chart the 3 important areas that Healthwatch Camden can help health and social care providers improve on.

Our seat on the Health and Wellbeing board gives us real influence. Let your voice be heard by telling us about your experiences of health and social care providers in Camden or alternatively come and volunteer with us at an event to find out more about us and do your bit for the local community.

We’re always looking for volunteers, and at this event Peter successfully recruited two more to join our growing team. If you’re interested in finding out more, why not contact us?
