Healthwatch Camden Annual report 2016-17

Last month we launched our annual report for 2016 / 17. This year we focused on the ‘power of partnership’. We’ve successfully worked in partnership with local organisations, including working with mental health users on a unique project to record their experiences on changes to their service.

We’re pleased with the partnerships we’ve forged and it will help us to ensure that local people’s voices are stronger in the delivery of health and social care services.

More partnership examples include:

  • Working with a national charity allowed us to take a fresh look at older people’s residential care in the borough. You can read our reports on 7 care homes in Camden to find out more details on this partnership work.
  • We’ve made sure that the voice of local people is included in plans for future urgent and emergency care services. We will continue to provide information to help individuals find their way round the system.
  • Also take a look at the Easy Read version of our annual report to see what else we’ve done and how we’ve helped shape health and social care in Camden, by working with local organisations and talking to people in our diverse community.

Last but not least we found time to move from our Kentish Town office to Somers Town!
