On 26 June, Healthwatch Camden said ‘goodbye’ to our founding chair, Connie Smith.
We also welcomed our new chair of trustees, Saloni Thakrar.
We were sorry to lose Connie, who is stepping down after four very successful years, and pleased that she will be returning to us as a volunteer.
Trustees and staff were delighted to welcome Saloni to replace her, we know she will bring energy, creativity and commitment to the leadership of Healthwatch Camden.
Saloni has been on our board of trustees since 2015. Like most of our trustees, she is a Camden resident, using local services and active in her local patient participation group. She draws both on her personal experience as a parent of children with a serious long term health condition, and on professional knowledge, as a pharmacist.
We also welcomed two new trustees to the board, Robert Sumerling and Sarah Hoyle.
