North West Central Mental Health Workshop

On 14 January, Shelly Khan our Community and Engagement Volunteer Manager attended the North West Central London Mental Health Workshop representing Healthwatch Camden. The workshop discussed shared ambitions across the sector on how to improve mental health services for local communities.

North West Central London (NWCL), is a group of five Clinical Commissioning Groups (Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Islington and Haringey) who have agreed to work together on specific work areas to try and improve care for their residents.

Healthwatch Camden champions the issue of mental health. Last year, we took a report to the Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny committee. We made sure that mental wellbeing is a priority for the Health and Wellbeing board.

Did yo uknow that aswell as being a member of Camden’s Health and Wellbeing Board, we lead the stakeholder Engagement Group, a sub group of the board, co-ordinating and strengthening the engagement work of all the partners.

Alison Lowton, our board member represents us at the meeting with support from our Director, Frances Hasler.
